1. Who We Are

Prank Rank (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a mobile game developed and operated as an independent project based in the United Kingdom. If you have any questions about this policy, contact us at support@prankrank.app.

2. Age Requirement

Prank Rank is intended for users aged 16 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child under 16 has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately.

3. Data We Collect

We collect the following information when you use Prank Rank:

Account data: email address, display name, and profile photo (via Email/Password or Facebook Login)
Game data: match results, scores, loss streaks, and prank history
Device data: Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) token for push notifications
Crash & diagnostic data: anonymised crash reports via Firebase Crashlytics
Usage data: app interactions collected by Google AdMob for ad personalisation (post-beta)

We do not collect payment information directly. Any future in-app purchases are handled by Google Play.

4. How We Use Your Data

To create and manage your account
To run multiplayer game sessions and deliver pranks to the correct device
To send push notifications about incoming pranks and game invites
To diagnose crashes and improve the app
To display advertisements (post-beta, via Google AdMob)

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:

Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Cloud Messaging, Crashlytics) — firebase.google.com/support/privacy
Facebook Login (Meta Platforms) — facebook.com/privacy/policy
Google AdMob (advertising, post-beta) — policies.google.com/privacy

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We only share data with the third-party services listed above, as necessary to operate the app. We may disclose data if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

7. Data Retention

We retain your account and game data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by using the “Delete Account” option in the app or by emailing support@prankrank.app. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.

8. Your Rights (UK GDPR)

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you
Correct inaccurate data
Request deletion of your data (“right to be forgotten”)
Object to or restrict processing
Data portability

9. Push Notifications

We send push notifications to deliver prank alerts and game invites. You can disable notifications at any time in your device’s Android Settings. Note that disabling notifications means you will not receive prank alerts.

10. Cookies & Tracking

The Prank Rank app does not use browser cookies. Google AdMob (post-beta) may use advertising identifiers on your device for ad personalisation. You can reset or opt out of ad tracking in your Android device settings under Privacy → Ads.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via the app. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
